Fast and Intense start
19 Sept 2021 - Sales Representative in Richmond, VARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The pay offered is better than you will find almost anywhere else. I can earn more in one day with Vector than I could make working all week as a student employee. The incentive program is generous but can add pressure on occasion. The products are high quality and worth the cost which definitely makes it easier to be confident and passionate about when meeting with clients.
Cons
It is hard to reach out to friends and family and ask them to buy products in general, and it can definitely feel like you are pressuring them into making a purchase due to a personal relationship. The flexibility is a bit of a double-edged sword. They let you schedule your own appointments but definitely have a tendency to dictate the number and to micromanage the process between mandatory calls before and after to the pressure they put on getting referrals. The training is unpaid and takes two consecutive sessions lasting 5 hours each day over zoom, and keeping focused for that long with a camera on becomes quickly taxing.

Pros
I got a few free knives and like a few hundred bucks so I can’t complain about that but…
Cons
Working here is terrible. I’m quitting tomorrow. You work your butt off and annoy everyone you know to buy very expensive product that no one has interest in. My manager always tells me “follow the demo and you’ll succeed” no sir, cus the demo reminds me of that scene from “The Wolf of Wall-street”, it doesn’t work at all and It only works if you’re piece of crap that doesn’t take no for an answer. You get a promised base pay of 17 per appointment, but in reality your managers will rip into you and even convince you to let them talk to the client in order to make a sale. My manager also said that if you get 4 “no sales” in a row, than you are fired. You work maybe 3-4 hours a day, depending on “how many prospects you can annoy into letting you preach to them.” I hate it and it’s misleading, I feel bad I’m quitting so soon because my manager seems like a genuine dude but at the same time he’s not and is scamming not only our clients but also me. Do not work here if you get recruited, they sugar coat everything but in reality, you are scamming your own family and friends and reps come and go like no other company, meaning they too are being scammed. And don’t even get me started with the training. It’s 8 hours for 3 days of unpaid bull crap. They made it seem so great and even had a former student representative join the meeting and tell us how great it is to work here.

20 Jun 2021 - Sales Representative in Cottage Grove, MNRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Since this is my first job so far it’s working out pretty good. The pay is good Lots of schedule flexibility Caring and engaging managers Networking opportunities Pay raise opportunities Cool training Increases people skills and communication skills Can help boost confidence
Cons
The presentations are pretty long honestly. In theory I would be able to explain most of the presentation in only about 20 min but the script they give us takes about 45+ min. The training isn’t paid and can feel pretty long (3 days and for 4-7 hrs a day) The training also doesn’t really go over some of the most important things until the very end, such as the script and scheduling You start with friends and family which can be good but personally it’s been a bit rocky because I don’t actually have that many connections to my family or many friends.

Depends on the person
17 Jan 2021 - Sales Reresentative in Phoenix, AZRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Its a great job. The managers and team are really friendly. The pay is great with being $18 an appointment or you can get paid off of commissions. The commissions are both great and not great. You can spend 30 minutes, sell a knife, and get $13 in commissions. Or you could spend an hour, sell two knife sets, make $3,000 for one hours work in commissions. And then you only need to work one hour a month to live comfortably in an apartment or small home.
Cons
You have to collect all your own clients which really isn’t an issue and if you are tough then this job is really no issue for you and a great opportunity. I had an issue because I was selling to my friends and family and majority of them were willing to spend hundreds or thousands of dollars to support my career and I would get a small percentage of that, when instead they could rather just give me the money themself.

Pros
- I made some new friends
Cons
- Very misleading recruiters/managers - based on a phone conversation, I (as well as several others I worked with) was led to believe that I would be assigned to a sales call (after all, I was told there will be no telemarketing or cold calling required). Same thing with the demo and interview. - They mention "you will not need to make any cold calls", but require you to call friends and family to schedule an appointment (that's a cold call!) - Very low pay; $17 per appointment (which typically lasts an hour) seems like a good deal, but really, it's not, considering you do not get paid to make calls and drive to the client (which would not be a problem if they were upfront about this, and not wait until a few hours into the "training" to tell you) - Unpaid training - you do NOT get paid for training (8-9 hours long without a lunch break; two or three days total). They say "most employers do not pay employees for training", which is false. - Manager at my site bribed us to leave positive reviews online (offering pizza on second day of training to individuals who left a positive review and scheduled 10 or 20 appointments) - Asking us to provide our friends contact information for recruitment (and calling them multiple times) - Repeatedly calling my phone after I resigned to get me to join (not sure if they knew I was a former employee)

Great training, managers are always available to help, you get to work from home, flexible schedule, you can build your resume, customer service skills and independence, base pay and commission.
Cons
Caling up your family and friends you might not have spoken to in a while and gathering them over the phone for a demo presentation.

- Work with very friendly people - Gives you opportunities to not only make a lot of money but develop a lot of skills great for whatever field you go into - Lots of flexibility in creating your own schedule
Cons
- Starting with close friends and family gives mixed emotions, because I feel comfortable presenting to them but when it comes to money it gets a little awkward. - You only get more customers based on how many recommendations you get which makes it somewhat stressful if they don't give you a lot of recommendations, and it isn't a very

Great Legit Company

Flexible schedule and freedom to make your own schedule Room for growth
Cons
If you do 5 presentations and only get one sale, if it’s over base pay, that’s all you get Can be stressful having to contact friends and family A lot of pressure
- Former Employee, less than 1 year★★★★★
Pros
choosing your own hours and remote work.
Cons
very forceful and scheming marketing styles. Will force you to try to recruit all of your contacts to work for them and beg your friends and family to buy from you so you can “pay for tuition and textbooks” or something else to guilt them into buying the overpriced products.
