A fearful, intimidating place.

Pros

The lure is high pay for some positions

Cons

The environment is poisoned by a select few managers and the CEO's behavior is tyrannical. Everyday, employees keep their head down, as firing is frequent. No benefits of any kind in the first 30 days, in other words "temp to perm" and they usually fire people within that timeframe - thus, saving benefit dollars. Super high turnover in all positions.

Pros

None, obviously with the turn over they have, even salary is not enough to endure this place on a daily basis.

Cons

Based on the new, pat responses to the complaints listed here and the new shining review, it is obvious someone has been hired to do damage control. Do not be fooled. This place is toxic to say the least and there can't be that much turn over in employment on all levels, because the employees 'don't like to work' or 'can't handle it'. They don't like being yelled at and belittled on a daily basis is more like it. The kind of turn over they have should be at least a clue to management to take a long look in the mirror.

Pros

The pay was the higher end of salary range for my position, beautiful office in Pioneer Square, short walking distance to train station and really nice co-workers (none of whom that I worked with at the time are probably there anymore). This company has a niche position in building envelope design, development, and repair/correction field. CEO is a well respected subject matter expert with literally a world-wide reputation.

Cons

Prospect of being fired was a daily possibility. Senior management could be nice one minute and then turn on you and rip you to shreds verbally. Never happened to me but saw it happen and heard it going on during office hours. Saw a project manager rip into the IT dept head right in front of the CEO who just kept walking by this awful scene like no big deal. The IT guy later gave his two weeks notice. Office turn over was incredible, never seen anything like it in 30 years of working. I can't understand why senior management works this way and they are extremely aware of their behavior and how they are perceived by current and former employees.
