18 May 2023 - Part Time Dock WorkerRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Forklifting so its easy. Supervisors are very cool, understanding, and helpful. Fairly early shift so your work day seems short. The system is sort of set up for the employees benefit (job security is not an issue or worry) Pay per hour is great. Can get as many hours as you like (show up earlier than your shift) Close to home so not a long commute. Essential job (freight will also need to be transported its more but these are just off the top of the head
Cons
not many to honest its just very dirty and in sort of in the elements. If it's cold you're really going to feel it. Those days when its -14° and lower, it's around -20 on the dock because wind is coming from both sides and its 80+ doors. Probably sounds like a rant I'm just a southern guy and cold especially Colorado cold to me is very overwhelming.
