I think it is a great start to work at Ritz Carlton. It's years of legacy is a bonus for a great resume.
It can be intense. You will need to adjust to all kinds of work hours. The Management may be lacking and could do better

Very fun & exciting atmosphere, always learning something new.
Depends on your position, but hours could be long.

Some of the staff are great
There's a lot of cons. The managers are earning so much and expect the world of you to drop everything and get a guest whatever they like. You're paid min wage, all while guests are yelling at you and also expecting the best. The hotel is understaffed and undertrained. If you were hired with out previous experience imagine where everyone else came from. A place where you would expect high end training, but no one will give it to you. Staff parking cars damage every second one, because they weren't trained or screened in interviews. There's no communication between teams, and to be honest it has cult like vibes. They expect you to memorize this motto and say it once a week in front of team members. When you go out of your way with great ideas they shut you down or take credit for themselves. I've worked around the world at 5 star and 6 star hotels and this place is one I wish I stayed away from. If you think things will get better they most definitely will not! Take my advice and go some where else before you're over worked, not paid for overtime and worked until exhaustion Negative work culture, gossiping, bullying, picking on weak staff. Ergonomics of the working positions and work places are terrible I had to report to fair work, after complaining to HR and Gm without any resolution

bad scheduling, they would make me work close to full time although I was a full time student and was brought on as part time

Pros are the team you work with, and the benefits. The Owners you work with are great people for the most part as well.
Management can be hit or miss. Good management phased out in 2020 replaced with not great people. Owners are a pro, but also a con. Some are not great people

Fun working environment. Loved working with guests and fellow employees
Some employees are held to a high standard and expected to do more than others.

I learned a lot about the standards luxury of service. I enjoyed the company and my time at the Ritz-Carlton
The guest can be difficult sometimes.
