      Amazing placement experience

      Pros

      I did a year long placement at PATCHS Health. Everybody was super friendly and willing to help me whenever I needed. Learned a lot about how software engineering and artificial intelligence are used in healthcare. Also great flexibility with regards to working from home.

      Working hours are quite long

      Pros

      Great company with wonderful staff. Everyone is given responsibility for their own projects, and the work is always varied. There is always the opportunity to learn something new, and the owners encourage all decisions that benefit your future career progression. The hours are flexible so you can maintain a good work/life balance, and the support of the team is noticeable. There is always someone willing to help you with a problem and the extra effort made during Covid-19 to prevent isolation has been especially welcome.

      Cons

      None! The work does change quite quickly which may be a con for some, but personally I love the variety.

      None! But if I had to pick one it's that things can change quickly - but that's the life of a start up
