-not a meritocratic place...very political -'time on post' or length of time in a role matters more for career progress than competency and skill -toxic culture bcuz middle management decisions are driven by fear and reluctance to stand up to senior leadership -you only get target bonus max in your 1st year employed but they don't tell you this when you're hired -jr employees dont feel empowered

This part of organization has the micromanagement mentality. They hire the best yet make you do stupid work and follow orders. Employee ideas are usually ignored in favour of external consultants who are seen as superior.
