I worked at Match Marketing Group full-time for less than a year

    Pros

I was employed at the orchard park location and it's been fantastic. Training was recently remodeled and was easy to follow, I was paid for my time at home to go over the training and it only took 5 days until I was earning commission. The structure has been recently revamped and is an improvement for full timers with incentives to keep pushing yourself. 6 brands to represent means constantly learning the new promos but they give a great selection of options and you can genuinely feel that you're helping the customers without having to push them onto any specific carrier. Competitive hourly wage and good commission structure, and a few times a week a customer even gives a tip. Location is extremely well managed and there's a true teamwork dynamic. Every week reps get targets based on the store location, previous years sales and the amount of hours they work and these goals are always attainable and rewarded neither gift cards (MasterCard) and knick knacks from corporate. If you do not attain these targets there is no punishment or pressure. You can look over the previous week and look at what you wish to focus on the next week and discuss how you'll do so with a manager. This guarantees results and there is no shame.

    Cons

The new commission structure can be improved for part timers as the 25 phones/month goal can seem unattainable when you only work so few hours.

I have been working at Match Marketing Group full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    - The company I work for is a mobile boutique owned/represented by Match Marketing. The company is great. - Work is a lot of fun. and my staff is wonderful.

    Cons

    - Have yet to be paid. Due to managerial incompetence, my hours worked for my first cheque were not entered into the payroll system/ Fine, that's not Match's fault. However, dealing with HR and Payroll has been a nightmare. First, they told me I would have to wait until 31 October (my next pay-day) to receive my cheque, which in Alberta, where I work, is against legislation (an employer cannot withhold pay for more than 10 consecutive days, being paid on 31 October would be 16 days), The HR rep who has been corresponding with me in regards to this issue has apparently gone AWOL, as her extension number now comes up as non-existent. I just want some answers.
