      Awesome company

      Pros

-Great People, everyone cares for each other -Incredibly open & flat culture (your bosses sit near you and they don't look at you as juniors, they look at you as smart individuals who want to contribute) -PR work and Analytics capabilities are good -HR is awesome to talk to and always create a great job application experience for you (even if you get rejected for a role, they're likely to let you know why you were rejected so that you can improve your candidancy for other roles) -Small team -> easy to know everyone. PR team goes out for lunch together at least for ~2 out of 5 days a week. LEWIS puts a huge emphasis on culture fit so if you get in, you should be able to get along with others -Internship experience is awesome. Had a great mentor who taught me the ins and outs of corporate PR. -Work life balance is great -No toxic people

      Cons

-Creative work (especially social media content) is weak - the social content produced by LEWIS is boring, doesn't engage with audiences at all and will not help social accounts grow audiences -Everyone from associates to directors do corporate and consumer work at the same time - you never get to specialise in a practice. e.g. if you're doing corporate PR for one account, you're also doing consumer PR for another account -Social content is weak because each associate has to come with the social content and talk to the client. If you're trying to keep the client happy and do content at the same time, you'll end up with medicore creative work because all you want to do is please the client all the time. You won't want to push or encourage your clients to explore new things in social.

Driven and ambitious agency with stacks of opportunities for staff

Nov 7, 2017 - Director in London, England

      Pros

      - Great people to work with: smart, quick, curious and committed to delivering excellent work - Some fantastic recent hires across the business are injecting new energy and giving different and interesting perspectives - As agencies go, there is a good work life balance - there definitely isn't a stay late culture. Everyone knows that agency world (particularly when it's global) doesn't just run 9-5 and there are lots of agencies out there really do pile on the pressure and the hours. - Everyone is empowered and expected to take some responsibility for their career development. There are plenty of opportunities (including the chance to spend time in other market offices across Europe, the US and Asia) for those who want to take them. - Open to flexible working at all levels - The social team has done a really good job, particularly recently, of coming up with various events and chances for everyone to get together - We're working more and more across teams, combining all the expertise we have in-house, which is a good way of keeping things interesting and also means everyone continues to learn

      Cons

      - Sometimes, new ideas and initiatives are introduced but not followed through - Internal comms could be improved - There could be a bit more focus on personal career development plans (which are apparently in the pipeline now) - More external training would be helpful

Great people and culture in fast-paced setting

      Pros

LEWIS has an energetic, fun culture and one of the best parts about working here is the people. Everyone on my team is friendly, outgoing and supportive in terms of being willing to help out. The company shows a genuine interest in its culture, with active measures taken by management to implement things like rewards, shortened hours, and new kinds of training programs. The work itself is fast-paced and exciting – you’ll have the chance to learn and work on some interesting clients doing really interesting things, and the company takes an integrated, forward-looking approach. The work can be challenging at times and you’ll put in a long day here and there, but that’s the nature of client service and at LEWIS I've found it doesn’t go unnoticed. The people who thrive at LEWIS are those who are proactive, so if you're curious and hard working you'll do well, and work with some great people along the way. Nice perks, benefits and office space, and competitive pay in my experience. As a larger company, you’ll also have access to more resources and professional training than you might elsewhere.

      Cons

Occasional long hours but nothing outside of the norm. Primarily B2B technology clients so need to have an interest in tech.

      Sub Par Ad Agency

Sep 15, 2015 - Project Manager in San Diego, CA
      Recommend

      Business Outlook

      Pros

Pretty standard ad agency with great people and a good culture. Fully stocked kitchen is a plus

      Cons

Management is seemingly absent and confused on the direction of the agency's future. Although, it is possible they aren't confused are are just failing to communicate that honestly with the rest of the agency. As much as they say they are a creative agency it's one of the smallest departments. Office space is cramped and dated with zero natural light except for a few c suite offices

      Best agency experience ever

Nov 5, 2014 - PR Team Lead in Burlington, MA

      Business Outlook

      Pros

great people, lots of variety (PR and marketing services), management is hands-on and engaged, account limits prevent typical agency burnout

      Cons

Not a lot of formal training -- but you learn a lot from the great people you work with. More like "on the job training."
