randomly changed rota all the time without telling us, and then told us off if we failed to show up to the new times. Disrespectful of part time nature of job, continuously tried to push it and add more and more hours on due to understaffing other members of staff ridiculed and ostracised by management for having covid and needing time off to isolate. dress code - wear three items of product on shift (eg bondage or lingerie) - had to be visible, had to buy these yourself or use commission credit. oppressive and provocative dress code which would have been fun and empowering if it was optional but instead felt weird We were supposed to make male customers want their wives to look like us. management pushy on sales

- good discount - good product - career development(due to HIGH turnover) - was a good job when i was younger and newer to store management, but way better retailers out there for personal management development. - most co workers can be lovely.

- high turnover, people quit constantly - always understaffed - head office managers / area managers micro manage. - state manager at the time was horrible - customers are creepy - they hire young 18 yr old girls with no training and expect them to be able to sell ‘sex’ and sex toys, bondage and lingerie. - girls that work here become fueled with ego and treat others horribly, steal sale etc. - working alone for long hours with only 3 hour cover with someone else. - heels for 8 hrs.

Cons

Fast paced, hard working environment, rather than a large corporation, it's very much built on talented individuals who work across a number of disciplines. Not for people looking for a large corporate style, hierarchical structure. Not for people wanting a job where they can pretend to work but not do much. For those who like to be actively involved in all aspects of the field of work and in decision making without red tape and endless meetings, it's a great environment.

Almost everything Workplace culture is horrible Sexist, uncomfortable dress code. Have to wear lipstick and eyeliner EVERY DAY. No proper training, yet we get berated if we make mistakes or do something wrong. Impossible expectations Using fear mongering to make us reach targets New Area Manager is horrible, is known by multiple girls from different stores for making rac*st remarks. Likes to berate the team instead of treating them kindly. Dont work here if you want to be forced to suck up to upper management, be talked down to and be treated like you're less than human. Seriously, it is NOT worth it!

Cute lingerie, uniform and good hourly wage. Shop aesthetic is gorgeous. IT department is super helpful and kind! Interacting with the customers and providing a safe space for people was incredibly rewarding. Receiving Honey Money to purchase lingerie was always an exciting perk for reaching your sales goals! The playlist is great and the holidays are so much fun here. There are large sales goals, but once you get the hang of it and learn about all of the products, it's a breeze. Fun products & always something to talk about.

Cons

Mysogyny, favoritism, sexual assault and bullying is the norm. There is constant sexual harassment from customers with no protection. Management and security does not care. Management talks badly about other employees behind their backs, very unprofessional.. I felt objectified and and sexually exploited in order to make sales. I felt unsafe at times. Working for over 8 hours in heels is incredibly taxing on the body, plus having to get on our knees in front of customers to the access the storage, bend over to use the unusually low register, and climb on ladders in the outfits that they require us to wear is completely degrading. Most of upper management & people in corporate positions are absolute bullies and seem to have very little idea what they are doing. Also, instead of being fired, employees often are just taken off the schedule without warning or reason. It seems that the company would embrace individuality having an LTBQ CEO and a slightly taboo aesthetic, but employees must fit into a cookie cutter mold and behave a certain way in order to succeed here. Individuality is not celebrated.

You need to fit into the 'Honey Birdette' mould to be considered for growth. Once you're part of the 'in/it' crowd which gets you promoted, it can be toxic because everyone wants the same job.
