Pros
Hilton is a great company to work for. The growth opportunities are great, and the tools to train and do your jobs are amazing.
Cons
Work life balance is a little difficult depending on the market the hotel is located on. Interdepartmental team work can be difficult.

Pros
I have worked for Hilton for over 13 years now. I am very fortunate to say I love my job and the people I work with. It is exciting to be able to contribute to the success and growth of Hilton everyday. I appreciate the ability to work from home in my role and enjoy a healthy work/life balance.
Cons
The cost of medical benefits keep going up, but that really seems to be the factor across America at many companies.

Pros
Hotel benefits are pretty great, you get to work from home, that's pretty much it. This is a short term type job rather than a long term career choice.
Cons
If you work full time you will never have a life. Always working weekends and requesting time off is not always easy. The hotel discounts are good but finding an available hotel is very difficult (don't plan on staying anywhere on the weekend cause it wont happen), turnover is high with supervisors and they only care about the big picture which is expecting way too much from agents with each call. They also do not like if you have to take medical leave or maternity leave which resulted in a lot of people not coming back after taking leave. Your experience also depends on who you work under. Some supervisors are great and appreciative of what agents do, others barely give a 'good job' when you meet all of their ridiculous expectations. Working from home is nice, however their virtual system is constantly having issues, calls get dropped, system freezes and requires you to reboot your entire computer, programs that we use do not work. Even though the issues are on their end they expect you to still be able to work through it, and if it happens enough time they will fire you without warning for having too many issues, even though the issues are on their end. Pay starts low and with yearly raises you would still have to remain with the company for a long time before making a reasonable wage. Full time employees get to bid on a schedule every 6 months but its based on seniority, which means if you've been with the company for less than 3 or 4 years then you'll most likely get a terrible schedule. Work/life balance is also awful and don't even think about getting to spend the holidays with family if they are out of town/state. Also if you ask 3 people the same question you will get 3 different answers. And the hotels are not on the same page as the call center so you get a lot of customers that were told conflicting pieces of information and finding the right answer takes forever....then you get penalized for that.

Pros
Good discount on Hilton hotels
Cons
Days off are rare. Sometimes working 12 days in a row before a day off and days off are separated each week. No time for a work life balance as shifts are all over the place (unless you are a supervisor and have more of a say)

Pros
Large company. Advanced systems. Progressive.
Cons
This company is not what it claims itself to be. All the talk about being a people company is simply that, just talk. They care about one thing only and that is lining the pockets of Blackstone even at the expense of their guests and employees lives. They do not care about work life balance but give it all talk as if they do care. Many of the VPs are nasty tyrants who have the corporate office fooled.

Pros
1)Perfect work life balance which has only become better with the 5 day working week. 2)Ample opportunities to learn and a team member friendly work atmosphere 3)Numerous career progression opportunities within 4)Packages/ Compensation and team member benefits in line with the industry and better than the competition in some cases. 5) A company that is driven by values and every activity at the hotel is aligned towards the vision and mission.
Cons
Cant really think of anything.

Pros
Great company to work for with great benefit options! The executive committee is very open with communication and easy to get in contact with. The company is rolling out a great new team member travel program to be one of the best in the industry.
Cons
Like any other hotel, you work a lot of hours. I am someone who likes a good work life balance so being sure to control that is important
