Brilliant product, exploding market opportunity

David Flynn founded and was CEO of Utah-based storage phenom - - Fusion IO. David ran it as CEO and successfully sold the company to Sanjay at SanDisk. So David definitely has the “muscle memory” and the resources to make this an extraordinary encore performance to his FIO exit. The product is highly differentiated with an active/active geo-dispersed namespace that actually works. Their multi-cloud offering brings an element of agility to many thousands of petabytes currently being stored on prem in major enterprises around the world.
Cons
The only headwind I felt was the “reboot” aspect from Primary Data days. But Flynn never once shied away from answering the tough questions. If anyone has a clue on just how big of a task that David Flynn and Trond Myklebust took on when they set out to create a cloud data control plane then they’ll not only view the Primary Data experience as necessary but it also shows the grit and the vision of this team to stick together even when the Sandhill Road crowd showed their true colors and couldn’t match the patience, drive and ambition that Flynn and team exhibited by getting the company firing on all pistons like it is now. Flynn will have the last laugh.
