Pros

The pros are summer Fridays and no overtime

Cons

the lack of professionalism, ethics and respect for colleagues. HR is too friendly with department managers which allows favoritism in decisions. Entirely too much gossip with in the company, the processes are so outdated and until recently there was little or no visability on anything. The it is horrible and outdated. The idea that we have always done this is not going to push this company into the forefront because there is no real push for change. The Customer service supervisor is the most immature, inconsiderate and emotional wreck I have ever witnessed and since there is no viability from corp or honesty from her manager and friend, this internal cancer will remain with company. The company just released a values list for the first time? I was quite confused of the new implementation. Sad.

Pros

good discount, if you are into fine linens.

Cons

very toxic environment. People on top don't know how to use a computer. Consists of 20 somethings that leave every other week, or people who have been their for years pretending to work. Most people lack basic math skills. Also, you get a sense of shady business i.e. making up numbers. No room for growth.

Pros

Frette is a storied company once known for top quality linens.

Cons

I've never worked for a company that was so dysfunctional. 1) Tech systems were in the dark ages and databases and highly vulnerable.I understand that this is still very much the case. Client should therefore be instructed to use cash rather than credit cards) 2) Top management micromanaged details that were even below the on-site's managers duties. Management generally was generally not supportive, and not open to new ideas or even constructive feedback. Long-standing practice of "shoot the messenger." 3) Promised employee benefits are miserable. 4) Company quietly cheapened a number of it products with resulting performance issues and inherent flaws. 4) Sales staff often found it impossible to locate stock for clients and may have to contact a number of different Frette sales locations to simply fill even the simplest of orders. 4) Though based in Italy, style selections were dated, limited, and had no relation to prevailing design preferences. 5) There was the ongoing mystery of how decision-makers were chosen for positions that they previously had no professional experience in.
