Pros

Mostly supported by management if things go to plan., Good working atmosphere with most colleagues. Good location

Cons

Short staffed all over the company. Using staff from other homes and agency staff to cover shifts who don`t know the clients making it sometimes dangerous to work. Certain Managers are not "people managers" and should learn to be more compassionate when things go wrong which are beyond the staffs control. Expected to put job before everything else. Constant calls at home regarding things that staff cant find etc. There can be lots of sickness due to the conditions at work when things are difficult due to young people miss-behaving.

Pros

Freedom to do the right thing

Cons

Make one mistake and they close ranks to cover up their own misgivings ! - Private Legal proceedings against them are pending based on defamation and clear lies which have stopped me from getting a job elsewhere in the same capacity.

Pros

Pros would be being able to make a difference in children's lives

Cons

Too many cons to mention, blame culture and quick to dismiss employees concerns.
