Pros
I love the people and still cherish the relationships I've made. The anchors and on-air talent are the best of the best and really appreciate your efforts.
Cons
Depends on the manager, but I was laid off without notice even when I was top tier talent. I was loyal for years with the company. HR didn't even try to find another position within the company. HR people are really systematic and lack empathy.

Pros
There are great professionals working there, technicals are all lovely and colleagues are genuinely your ordinary folks you eat with, drink with and even have some social life with. Some top notch reporters too who are inspiring to work with. You learn the ropes and climb the production levels which are all great for experience, and meet some pretty interesting personalities you wouldn't have in your civilian life. Many anchors are approachable and would chat with you and acknowledge your existence, which is something I didn't find when I was at CNN. Great benefits.
Cons
I was working here when the late Roger Ailes got pushed out. Nepotism, sexism, racism on-air (but most anchors are nice off-screen), promoted their friends or the people they like and hang with. Yes. That pretty much sums up the ugly side. Ailes wasn't the only one who got investigated for sexual harassment. Even had to do "sensitivity training" after that debacle and one man in the room fell asleep during the course! Did I mention I also worked here during the Trump administration? I don't have to elaborate on the lack of ethics in his coverage. Management is also a boys club, they berate you and verbally abuse you. They believe that makes you work better for some reason. Pay is below market. I can really go on.
