Pros

Work in a fast pace, high energy, environment where you are forced to adapt, learn, and grow yourself to work along side these industry leaders.

Cons

Be weary of working here. Read the negative reviews and take them for their face value. It is an open office secret that leadership had staff post positive reviews on here to help increase their rating. Working for WPA, expect minimal pay and extremely demanding hours. Even for a job in campaigns, this is overly demanding. What’s worse is the attitude of the leadership team. Specifically realize this: the CEO does not care about you or anyone on his staff that is not on the leadership team. The culture that he has created trickles down through the company making this truly one of the most toxic places to work. I know that shortly after this review is posted the company will post a screenshot of this review in slack and say “who do you think wrote this” laugh about who they think it is while everyone is too scared to admit that these negative reviews are accurate. You will be expected to be available to work 24/7. Weekends turn into weekdays, and you should fully expect to work until 2am and be ready to start working again at 8am. Even when you take PTO, you are still expected to work. Holidays the company handbook says the company is supposed to be closed and everyone should not be working on, still expect that you have to work. The CEO make a personal point to go out of his way to criticize your work and make you feel worthless, even if everything is done correct and well. He over promises to clients and damages the quality of his product as a result. He responded to one of these posts before saying how he is trying to change and make the company culture better, but realize that it is all talk and no action. He will viciously lambast employees in front of other employees and then laugh behind closed doors saying “they never actually did anything wrong.” He creates so much stress in the company that he burns people out after they are there for only a few months. What is worse is that his leadership style can be seen in the other leaders at the company. The leadership team is willfully ignorant of the stress and trauma they cause the data science and research teams, because they know they can hire new grunts to work one cycle and replace them for the next. They don’t want to invest in their employees. As I was looking for other jobs before I left the company - and even now in writing this post - I have legitimate fears of retaliation and retribution from the CEO. That should tell you all you need to know about working here.
