Pros
- Good benefits, unlimited PTO and WFH policy. - They try really hard to implement an agency culture despite being a remote-first company : they host virtual events, check-ins, etc. - There are some nice and talented people willing to do the work and go above and beyond especially in admin, operations (project management) and web (content & web dev).
Cons
- Lack of creativity: they try to promote creativity and out of the box thinking, but they often recycle ideas, media plans and strategy from one client to another. It's far from what is promoted to clients and on the company website. -Feedback culture is too much and based on "accomplishments" and actual work feedback is unwelcome and often met with "we've always done things this way". -Leadership is confusing: the CEO is inexistant and delegates to other senior leaders the difficult task of announcing changes and bad news (eg. layoffs, process/company changes). Additionally, during my time which was more than 1 year, they were brainstorming on what would be our vision post-workforce reduction and due to industry changes. They had countless retreats and gatherings but no one was able to provide clarity on what was the high-level roadmap and vision for the agency. -Constant changes: layoffs, high turnovers, leadership changes, department structures and new titles, etc. All these changes impacted the overall confidence for employees as well as the work-life balance: sometimes teams are expected to take over someone's work without a proper onboarding which makes everyone at the agency look bad especially if client facing.
