Pros

I was hesitant to join Untapped because I was so comfortable and frankly pretty successful at my previous role, but their mission to make the world more equitable was strongly aligned with my beliefs and the opportunity to help build something I believe in drew me in. I'm so glad I made the decision: Pros: -If you are the very best at what you do, they allow you to be the very best at what you do. There is no micro-managing. -The people team is amazing. Untapped is still growing incredibly fast, but the employees are well taken care of. I feel listened to and respected. -All sorts of perks and benefits that are thoughtful and contribute to employees personal growth. -The leadership listens. they don't always get it perfect, but they really do have an open door and I am able to give them feedback which they receive honestly. I have seen them act with integrity and I trust them. -The mission to make a more equitable world is huge and aspirational and hard, but it is a totally different experience then other jobs I have had. It's inspiring! -Creativity, free thinking, collaboration are all valued and rewarded....it's not just corporate speak here. -If you want to finally show yourself what you are capable of, this is the place. -Every customer you work with is trying to make their companies more inclusive places to work. We get to help our customers be heroes. That is my favorite part of working at Untapped.

Cons

-Untapped has growing pains. Everyone is still in the position of wearing multiple hats. I wouldn't say that is necessarily a con but there is always a certain level of ambiguousness to navigate -Untapped is not a fortune 500, it's still a startup, and we will not achieve these aspirational goals without dedication and focus. That creates pressure. I know I put more pressure on myself in this role then I have in previous roles. Some people thrive in that pressure and others are like "no thanks.." -It's remote only and there is always issues inherent to that. We do our best to connect with our teams through offsites and virtual events which have helped a lot, but this remote experience is something the company is always trying to improve.
