Pros

It is an interesting industry, the food was solid, some flexibility with work from home

Cons

The leadership is generally toxic. Onboarding is non existent. A ton of gaslighting. Most people there are nice, but the culture is poor nonetheless. People have been there for years with little to no increase in title or pay.

Pros

Stocked kitchen Coworkers are nice and chill to chat with or reach out with questions

Cons

Absolutely toxic culture perpetrated by the management. I worked as a full-stack co-op and was horribly treated by the CTO, with little effective guidance and only insults. One that I will never forget is him bullying me for my first time writing SQL queries and claiming my math is worse than his high school daughter’s. It turned out, his calculations were wrong. To make a point, I had 100 in AP Calculus BC, 96 in Calculus 3, and I have received offers from Google and Meta after this awful co-op experience. Oh, and the fact that the employees are 90% white in as diverse a city as Vancouver is already pretty telling.

Pros

Fun clients, get to work with music festivals and sports teams. Lots of autonomy where you own your work without being micromanaged.

Cons

Face-Paced, things move fast. It's a lot to keep up with and changes to the platform are constant.
