The researchers at Telecom ParisTech -while may be not world class- are most of them respected in their fields and have very decent track records. It is definitely a good place to start a research career.
Cons
I have heard that Telecom ParisTech is moving to the outskirts of Paris. It might be a little bit incovinient as opposed to now that it is located in the center of the city.
