Pros
Relaxed/no dress code, Starbucks coffee machine in break room, catered food around the holidays, no one is issued a laptop so you'll never have to work at home/over the weekend.
Cons
Pay is on the low end of the scale for most positions. Company utilizes a bell system that really makes you feel like a farm animal. The bell goes off twice a day for two 10 minute breaks, and then a 30 minute lunch break - very annoying! This is a family business and it shows. At some point in time, you will get wrapped up in some sort of family drama whether you care to or not. Management is very gossipy and, chances are, if they're talking bad about someone to you, they do the same about you to someone else. Lots of turnover so morale is generally pretty low. Profit seems to be the only concern of management and the owner. Owner drives several high-performance vehicles but will laugh at you if you pop a tire on the way to work. Management seems to be winging it entirely and it's apparent no one really knows what's going on most of the time. If you think you'll advance in this company, look elsewhere. There's really isn't anywhere to go in most departments, and there are a few long-time veterans that will never leave to give you that chance. Healthcare is pretty expensive and not great coverage. Culture is non-existent. No holiday parties and no work events. Review process is pretty vague and you won't get an explanation about your bonus amount. Absolutely no option to work remotely - owner thinks that is 'lazy'.
