Pros

They have a lot of fun. There are a lot of learning opportunities as long as you are self-motivated and driven. You will have plenty of opportunity to meet and network with some really great people.

Cons

The culture that they brag so much about is mostly conservative white men and young, middle to upper-class, attractive, college grads and interns who share the same political, sociological, and religious beliefs. If you do not fit into these categories, you will be treated with much high expectations and much less appreciation. Bullying/blatant discrimination is seen as funny/ fun while expressing an issue appropriately to your manager or HR is labeled as toxic. Overblown egos abound. Promises get made and broken. Gossip and cliquish behavior is pervasive.

Pros

Strong entry-level experience and training opportunities. Good place to build foundational skills for 1–2 years before moving on. Solid health care options

Cons

Compensation is significantly below market value. Extremely political culture where social dynamics often outweigh performance. Do not trust management. Leadership is resistant to feedback, change, or process improvement; employees raising concerns may be labeled “difficult.” Initiative is rarely rewarded — employees who suggest improvements are often expected to implement them independently without recognition or additional compensation. High performers are frequently overburdened rather than rewarded. Layoffs and restructuring have had minimal impact on management despite ongoing leadership issues. Employees who challenge upper management or provide pushback can face retaliation. Culture encourages keeping your head down, avoiding conflict, and doing the minimum required. 2 layoffs post-COVID followed by what appeared to be highly subjective performance-based terminations.
