Cons
I worked for Quotient Technology before the company was purchased by Neptune. I’ve been trying to figure out the best way to describe Neptune leadership. Toddlers who need a nap? Ebenezer Scrooge before he met the ghosts? A couple of rabid raccoons in a trench coat? You get the idea. How has Neptune Retails Solutions screwed people over? Let me count the ways! 1) Purchased Quotient and immediately laid off hundreds of employees including 99% of the legal and HR departments (because who needs legal or HR advice when laying off employees in multiple states and countries?); 2) offered less severance than required by the merger agreement with Quotient; 3) only increased severance to the agreed upon amount if an employee complained (and not everyone knew to complain); 4) issued separation agreements that are unenforceable in California; 5) refused to correct the separation agreements when notified of the legal issues; 6) failed to pay California employees their final wages on their last day; 7) refused to pay waiting time penalties as required by California law; 8) failed to properly enroll former employees in COBRA; 9) failed to pay severance in full; and 10) refused to answer any emails sent to HR (seriously - you have to email the CEO multiple times to get answers to simple questions).
