Pros
The benefits are decent, I guess?
Cons
This place is a chaotic, unorganized and unethical disaster that's starving for money. Like other reviewers have said, the salaries at NAIFA are embarrassingly low and aren't anywhere near commensurate with workload. And it's because the organization is literally running out of money. Multiple staff have been laid off the last year and more layoffs could be coming. Wouldn't be surprised if NAIFA merges with another dysfunctional insurance association (there's plenty of them around) to keep its doors open...or just folds.
Worse yet, there's some pretty shady activities going on in certain departments that a small number of staff are trying to keep from getting out to the rest of the office and membership. To top it off...the office/building itself is falling apart, even after a so-called remodel a year ago. If you value your career and value being compensated fairly, don't work here. It's where careers go to die.
