Pros
Solid perks. I was fully remote. Plenty of resources to help do the work. Most people were friendly.
Cons
I was hired as a senior creative but siloed to one account, while junior staff were given access to multiple clients and new business. Despite consistently glowing performance reviews and very positive client feedback and camaraderie within my team and management, I often felt overlooked given my extensive experience and solid reputation for accomplishing projects successfully and quickly as a trusted resource on my team. After a year and a half, I was laid off with zero warning due to a client loss. The call lasted five minutes—no heads-up, no manager involvement, just a surprise dismissal and immediate lockout from all systems. I didn’t even get to say goodbye to my close knit team. The process was cold, confusing, and deeply disheartening. Despite delivering 300+ projects and never missed a deadline, I was made to feel disposable. HR was unhelpful post-layoff, and within a month, the company was hiring for similar roles—but declined to consider me, without explanation which is odd since I was told my position was eliminated unrelated to performance or anything besides a huge client leaving and budget cuts. I’ve never felt so dismissed and embarrassed in my 10+ years as a senior-level creative at various agencies and brands.
