Pros
The company makes a great first impression. They provide various shift options and offer a generous amount of vacation time. The coworkers are the best part. I made some great friends there. How much of that was just due to trauma bonding, I can't say.
Cons
Upper management treats production employees with utter disregard, and in some cases, contempt. Issues brought up repeatedly by employees in the monthly meetings with management were never addressed. New employees are only half trained before being pushed onto the production line. Then management complains about quality issues. There have been numerous small changes for the worse over the past year and a half that have gradually chipped away at employee morale. When I started, overtime was readily available; for the past several months there has been barely enough work to keep people busy and overtime has been strictly forbidden. This eventually resulted in a mass layoff of nearly half the employees across all three shifts. Friends still at the company report that management is now harassing them because they aren't able to keep up with the expected production schedule. The lack of insight and personal accountability possessed by the management team is utterly staggering. I would not be surprised if the company shut it's doors within the next year.
