Pros

The culture of the company is a real breath of fresh air from usual corporate micromanagement or "visionary" startup mumbo jumbo. It is honest, genuine, and efficient. The company has within it a really huge amount of knowledge. The recruitment process is clearly a bit tough, and it shows the results as people really really know their stuff. Companies throw the word best in class around a lot but it really feels like that, and there is an awesome amount of learning from colleauges and leadership,

Cons

The company hasn't firmly established a lot of internal processes yet. That is more an early stage startup issue than a Humanitec issue but at present a lot of things are still being build. However, that does mean it's not rigid at all

Pros

The company's cultural foundations are grounded in the values of Hunger, Humble, and Skill. These principles serve as the cornerstone of the organization and hold equal weight, without preference for any particular order. During an off-site session, the executive team clearly communicated the reasoning behind these core values, it was impressive to learn that they place greater emphasis on character traits like humility and drive, which are not easily taught, over technical skills. I concur with the majority of the prior evaluations regarding the company. The workforce comprises of remarkable individuals who make the work environment enjoyable. It is important to note that I am not alluding to the co-founders, but rather the individuals who contribute to the company's success. However, this is where the positive aspects come to an end.

Cons

The onboarding process was typical of most startups, characterized by a "hit the ground running" approach with limited support and structured procedures in place. Working with the sales team involved selling an unfulfilled promise, as the product often fell short of customer requirements. Despite this, there was some emphasis on improving the product to stay competitive in the market. The lack of support and disrespectful behavior during customer calls by Kaspar left both the sales team and customers in disbelief. The CEO frequently belittled and spoke to team members in a condescending manner, causing emotional distress and tears in meetings. This was not due to a lack of ability or skill but rather a lack of recognition for the effort required in complex sales opportunities. When new members joined the team, they were misled by the CEO, who portrayed the current team as insufficient and promised them all the territories and opportunities. Unfortunately, this often led to new members joining with a negative attitude toward the rest of the team. Additionally, the CEO engages in damaging gossip, speaking poorly of individuals to others. Upon the arrival of a new leader, the first statement made was that they would observe and support the team in making necessary changes for success. However, this promise of support was quickly nullified when it was announced that there would be no one-on-one meetings. During the only individual meeting, the credibility of a colleague was questioned by referencing a former colleague from a prior company. This leads me to conclude that the culture being cultivated at the company is not based on the values of Hunger, Humble, and Skill, but rather lies, deceit, and unprofessional behavior.
