Pros

-Flexibility -Great support from colleagues (who are in the trenches with you) -Work from home -My clinical manager was supportive

Cons

-Low compensation (I left and got a 36% raise) -Lack of benefits (cheaper health insurance doesn't matter to someone who gets it through their spouse- so it's not really a benefit ) -Changing culture (Losing its mission of trust, respect, and support) -Very micro-managing with tracking each minute of your day on your timesheet. I spent over 5 years with DotCom. I felt like my largest amount of growth as a clinician was in year 3, then I stalled. There really wasn't anywhere to go. The "little things" that added up were never recognized by the higher up (beyond immediate manager level) with other than a copy/paste "we value you as a clinician." It felt as though you had to "know the right people" to move up. New hires were paid more or paid bonuses to get them in the door than the veteran therapists were being paid. It wasn't even like they were trying to hide it- all you had to do was look at the job openings on the website and do the math yourself. Layoffs in 2023 were a surpise and came out of nowhere to everyone on the provider team. People laid off had been with the company a long time. Then new positions generated months later that do almost the same thing? Lots of people who had been with the company for 5+ years have left or are leaving. Interpret that however you want to. I used to tell everyone I knew about DotCom and how great it was, even with lower pay than other places. But not anymore.
