Magnet hospital: nurses have plenty of organization-funded professional development opportunities and have a huge shared governance role. Many celebrations throughout the year geared towards employee appreciation. Nursing aides provide great assistance to RNs. Overall culture among employees: 4.5/5.
Lower pay for RNs compared to other similar hospitals; recently changed EHR from Hoag-owned SCM to Providence-owned Epic build, making it really challenging to have optimization requests fulfilled through the many layers of approval within the vast Providence network though they are HIGHLY needed at HoagHoag Memorial Hospital Response6y
