Some awesome parties and some awesome people

Management only thinks of you as a number and what numbers you produce. They will put you down in front of other co-workers via company email. The company atmosphere is clicky and ruthless. They don't care about you personally and they do not care about your feelings. They only care about PROFITS. They do not know how to motivate their staff unless you are money driven or incentive driven. Praise is only given out to the select few. In the interview, if you do not say you want to make money you will NOT be hired as a recruiter. They expect you as a recruiter to work overtime with half-pay because they feel like they gave you a large enough salary for you to work more. Hard drugs are very prevalent and management does nothing and seems almost supportive. Watched upper management aggressively flirt with their subordinates. There is no Human Resources Department to report harassment or sexual harassment. When there is harassment brush it under the rug or fire you because they do not want to deal with it. Management also asked the staff to write reviews when they see that they have become unpopular in glassdoor knowing very well they if you speak ill of them they will let you go. They have been sued before and I am surprised they are still in business.

We value and consider all feedback and we’ll continue to find ways to improve, but I wanted to address a couple of your specific concerns here. In regards to your comment about our employees being a number I’d like to assure you and anyone else interested in employment at HSS headquarters, that is simply not the case. Our line of business is very competitive and time sensitive and the majority of our employees are in producer roles. As with any production role you are responsible for meeting pre-determined key performance indicators. Each of our employees are unique and important to us. We work with them to set and reach their goals and do not look at them as a number. Many of our team members create lifelong friendships here and leadership is invested in their success. Leadership and the Internal Development Team have organized several employee outreach programs to assist employees with personal tragedies and unexpected happenings. We are a family at HSS. Regarding your statement about our lack of a Human Resources Dept., HSS is in fact equipped with an HR Department. Any discrimination and harassment that is reported to a manager is directly reported to HR. Following Florida Statutes our HR Dept. takes the necessary steps to ensure a safe work environment for all. HR is also responsible for our company wellness program which prohibits the use of drugs and encourages living a healthy life style by providing discounted gym memberships, free annual physicals, flu vaccinations and more. Again, we are sorry to read of your experiences and want to wish you the best in your next employment.

Pros

I loved my team and management. I enjoyed the hybrid schedule but it took awhile to "earn" the remote days. 3PM Friday's was a big plus (if you earned it). This company really rewarded their employees for hard work and it did not go unnoticed. Big support system and I was not afraid to ask questions. Their KPI's are achievable.

Cons

I believe there were 3 rounds of layoffs since I started. It was a little alarming and there wasn't major job security- however, as someone who was not affected, I believe it was mostly off of performance based, which is fair.
