Pros

- Excellent 401K - Great deal of autonomy compared to a previous employer, and few pesky company requirements to adhere to. - A new health plan for 2015 that seems better than the old one, though I'll miss the HSA contribution - Great Admin staff in HR, finance etc, love them - Personable and friendly CEO with excellent taste in beer :) - Went to great lengths to provide (or remind) options to employees during the shutdown in 2013, and we had a heartfelt, compassionate, and frank discussion with a clearly pained CEO after the Prime on our contract surprised everyone with a massive rate cut on the contract last year - Company holidays align with federal holidays, reducing stress to make up hours.

Cons

- It's a small company so a little challenging to move around on contract vehicles if you want to. - My big gripe is about a lack of communication, and I know I'm not alone in this. Hearing from the leaders has really fallen off in 2014. I feel really disconnected from the folks at the top, particularly my PMs at my client site who don't even acknowledge my emails. It's like they've all but disappeared. I have no idea what is going on in the company beyond my little realm. I have no idea what opportunities are there if I want to move or join proposal teams. I don't know if they've all been working on building business with new proposals. I mentioned my concerns about the communication gap to my PM, who nodded and promised to do better, and I even offered to take up some sort of internal outreach project. I've heard nothing since and communication has not improved. - There are two main business areas with very different client work. In the DC area, the employee base has distinct differences in skills and there is a significant geographic divide as well. So there isn't much of a corporate culture as far as I can tell, and at the handful of corporate events I've attended there is not much intermingling between the two groups. I have no idea how the employees in other parts of the country feel.

Pros

I've worked for Entegra for the past six years and couldn't be happier. The benefits package, particularly the generous 15% company-funded 401k, is a rare find in the contracting world. This 15% is calculated by taking the employee's gross pay for the year (which includes any overtime, referral bonuses, etc.). Entegra also offers a comprehensive medical plan which covers 100% of premiums for employees. These two benefits combined mean that by the time I get my paycheck, that money is mine to spend or save as I please because retirement and medical have already been covered. In addition to amazing benefits, Entegra has approachable, accessible, and thoughtful leadership. It's quite common to see the company president at happy hours, holiday parties, and cookouts. Not only is senior management very present but they also know everyone quite well. I appreciate the small company culture and the attention paid to every individual employee. It's a joy to work here and I look forward to many more years to come!
