The company likes to operate with fewer staff than are needed. Back fills are deliberately left unadvertised and unfilled for months resulting in remaining staff expected to take on extra work and soak up all the pressure from the resulting fallout. Once you're in, you're unlikely to see a pay rise or the promised bonus, staff who have been there a long time on really poor salaries due to very low yearly increases.
