I learned the methodology of a landscape architecture office. The projects range from ok to fun but the fun ones are given at a favoritism level.

'Who you know' matters more than 'what you deliver.' This creates an environment where genuine skill development and hard work take a backseat to managing relationships with the right people. Promotions only happen in a situations to boost office morale or to be used as a market strategy.
