Pros
1.) Learn technical editing and info at a moderate pace. Able to learn and grow. 2.) Easy to work up the ladder if you work hard and express interest. 3.) Some awesome new department opportunities. 4.) Management is generous, open, willing to listen to needs (even personal), and willing to help in anyway possible. 5.) A lot of growth in the last two years. 6.) Great work environment - people are awesome, lenient, cross-communication is encouraged, random lunch/dinner treats, celebrations, always snacks. 7.) Management works as hard, if not harder, than employees. Leading by example. 8.) All Department managers are competent and have cross-disciplinary knowledge. 9.) Firing is never taken lightly, and is justified 99% of the time.
Cons
1.) Some boring work 2.) Client expectations sometimes out of hand and unchecked 3.) Pay is too little to raise a family. Not a career, but a good job. 4.) Sometimes management can tend to micro-manage.
