Amongst all the change, nobody seems to know what they are doing, and there is a complete lack of communication amongst departments. Systems don't work, some teams have had half of their job replaced by cheap overseas labour, profit takes precedence over individual experience. GDPR processes have been vaguely defined but are ultimely a mess, resulting in non-compliance most of the time. There are publishing schedule delays that are not communicated. Change is implemented without consultation or worry about how this might negatively impact the company and individual. Career progression doesn't exist, and training requests are rejected. Ultimately everyone is disgruntled, confused and constantly upset about how nothing seems to work. Upper management is useless.
If you have other options, I strongly advise anyone reading this to not take a job at Cengage. This has been the most painful working experience of my life.
