Pros
Nice offices. Had ability to work from home sometimes (apparently this will soon no longer be the case). Good salary. Some great people here, but general company culture is missing.
Cons
This company is burying its head in the sand over bullying at senior management level, and the HR team or exec team are not doing their job to address it. My team director had long been bullying my manager, and I challenged her juvenile behaviour in the office when she tried to get us to move desks for no good reason, and according to her seating plan which was also wrong (I didn't realise I was back at school). The next thing I know, 3 days later I am told my probation is being extended despite being less than 2 weeks away from passing, meeting all my objectives and my own my line manager disagreeing with this decision. When asking for a reason on why she decided this, I was ignored - clarifying to me there was no valid reason behind this and that this came from a personal decision. A team manager was also hired in my final week who appeared to have less managerial and office experience than both myself and my manager, and whose first introduction to our team was 'not to take the mick' and was blatantly trying to instil coming into the office at 8am as a normal thing for us all. So much for a nice team culture. A few days after I left (after I’d quit - I didn’t want to stay any longer in a company where bullying and unreasonable behaviour is accepted), it transpired that confidential conversations I’d had with HR where I’d raised valid concerns about my working environment were now being used so that they could devise a reason of ‘cultural fit’ concerns despite the fact I had built good working relationships within my own team and outside of this. Absolute nonsense and dishonesty. They also have profitted nicely from a new customer I brought on in my short time, and they have ignored all my subsequent requests to be given the standard employee bonus I am owed from this despite the diabolical way I was treated and that this is in fact what I am owed. If you are an honest and hard-working person who has chosen carefully so far in their career, look elsewhere because you deserve so much better. I turned down another good job and then wasted almost three months of my life here working hard for nothing. There is also a real lack of company culture in the London office following the integration with Justgiving which hasn’t been handled well, and there's a move away from flexible working arrangements.
