Pros

Flexible working and possibility of working from home

Cons

Where do I even start. If you are an ambitious person that wants to learn and achieve a lot then simply stay away from BT. Technology used at BT is extremely outdated. You will be forced to learn stuff that will be irrelevant anywhere else because simply nobody else uses it. So many engineers only use Word, Excel and Visio diagrams for their work not because they want to, but because they have to. If you want to learn something new and interesting you are on your own, because nobody else around you knows any of those things. However, probably the worst part of BT is the middle management. I've never seen so many clueless people in one place. They have no idea what should be the direction they should take. Also, if you try to speak out you better be careful. They will be out to get you and it won't be pleasant. This is not just my opinion. It's a universal opinion among the grads. Most of the grads leave before or just after the grad scheme, because they are simply disappointed with their experience.

Pros

Benefits are better than most US companies. You get twice or triple the numbers of days off per year.

Cons

Focus is more on originating company location for group events and emails. Due to time zone differences, it can be difficult to work with others without adjusting your schedule. It is difficult to get promoted outside originating country. Roles are few and far between in the US.
