Pros

Great employee benefits, wage, adventurous training opportunities , employee networks, professional development, wellbeing services and benefits i.e. Bippit financial wellbeing, Headspace meditation App, health care Cash Plan, fantastic pension, Death in Service, electric vehicle and cycle to work scheme, employee assistance programme (physiotherapy, counselling, nutrition and physical training consultations, 360 score - includes partners and children*check eligibility), and private medical insurance (can add family members at own cost). Not to mention battlefield tours, opportunities to travel, take part in sporting activities, staff parties, and joining the social committee, staff voice, employee networks: mental health, women's, neurodiversity, Race Equality and Cultural Heritage, Pride, Disability and families / carers / Parents / Community. AirTanker have also achieved disability confident committed status, are partner with Women in Defence, Aviation Pride UK, Armed Forces Covenant and Investors in People. All of this activity is because they care and want to support their staff and families because is genuinely is the right thing to do. AirTanker is also introducing health screening in 2025 in support of our physical health.

Pros

A good company who are open and honest with their employees. Business improvements are encouraged with the focus on the happiness of the workforce. Open to flexible working in certain roles and support a healthy work life balance. I have engaged with lots of good people who are actually happy in work throughout different departments in the business. The facilities and equipment provided to work in and with are to a high standard and well maintained. There are many work socials organised of a varied nature which employees are encouraged to attend but not forced to.

Cons

Due to the nature of the business and the customer, work priorities can change quickly so you have to be flexible and agile minded. Due to where the business is located on a military camp it can often take extra time getting to work and leaving work at peak times. Parking is at a premium on the base too.
