Pros

Acumium has a great culture with supportive leadership, and a good balance of hard work and fun. The focus is on solving problems for customers in a collaborative environment so you if have a desire to grow and contribute to making things better (for customers and for your team members), Acumium provides an excellent opportunity to do so. The variety of work is also good, with new challenges coming along with each new customer. Acumium provides bi-weekly lunches or breakfasts, fun company get-togethers, and is currently full of bright, dedicated team members. Acumium also provides above-standard fringe benefits, with generous 401k matching and profit sharing.

Cons

Working at an agency requires some special skills. You have to learn fast, since Acumium really does expect you to embrace your customers' problems as your own and then work to solve them. You also have to be mindful of your customers' constraints, and must be able to make occasionally tough decisions about the effort you want to expend to solve a problem and what the customer can actually afford (in terms of time and money).

Thanks for the feedback. Our push to grow and improve sometimes means a faster pace and learning as we go. I agree we have an opportunity to celebrate our many successes a bit more.

Pros

By far the best part about working here is being surrounded by people that are on the top of their A game. The company seeks out people who are not only skilled, but passionate about what they do. We have a strong Dev team and the beginnings of a strong marketing team. We have an open office, and it's a really strong culture. by far the best culture of any place I've worked yet. People tend to work long hours here, but it's because they love what they do, and they are focused on their work. The atmosphere is that of what you might expect at a startup company out west. People are encourage to work on projects that they feel needs to be done, there is a ping pong table in the Dev room, NERF guns scattered everywhere, and a PA system that can be hijacked by connecting to it via Bluetooth. Work events consist of lunches, ping pong tournaments, video games, and drinking.

Cons

I really don't have anything bad to say about Acumium at this point. The culture is open that if there were any issues I would bring it up with a team lead, and address it on the spot. I would warn any n00bs that it can be a lot to take in, and the team as a whole has a lot of pride in what they do, so if you're not willing to commit a lot of your effort into honing and perfecting your skills you might want to shy away. Also if you don't like to learn, aren't willing to share information as to how things work, or figure out root issues when they occur then I would also stay away.
