Pros

The only pros to the almost year I spent with this company were the residents I worked with.

Cons

Where do I begin? First of all they clearly are watching this site and deleting all negative posts because there is NO way it's only getting positive reviews from physio assistants. Sure if you're a Physiotherpist working for them you have a pretty cushy job and pay. The PT I worked with flirted it up with all the nurses while I did the dirty work and was constantly talked down to. The residents always said how they didn't like him and would only do their exercises if I was there too. Oh, they also make you pay your supervising therapist $1000 if you leave the company before 1 year. It doesn't matter the reason, so hope you don't plan on going anywhere. You are sworn to secrecy about how much money you make, although I'm quite certain that is a personal choice to make if you'd like to share that information, but heaven forbid you should tell anyone and make achieva look bad (For the record its $12 an hour.) After you leave they keep no record of you working there and will act like they don't know you because you were "hired" under the physiotherapist. Well actually achieva did the hiring and gave me the badge and everything but if you leave you are nothing to them. Makes you feel good eh? In their ads they say they only hire the very best staff and are very selective. I was hired a day after sending a resume, over the phone, without meeting in person and without more than a question of "when can you start?" I could go on... Hey achieva, thanks for the "job"... Really glad I spent two years and thirty grand in college to make a dollar more than minimum wage with your stupid company.

Pros

I got a ton of real clinical experience early on, so it’s great if you want to grow in the rehab field. Therapists are friendly and willing to teach. The work environment is organized and patient-focused, which helped me improve my communication and time management skills. The pension plan is a nice bonus.

Cons

Pace can get intense during busy hours.
