Pros

Having the weekends off and sometimes food given.

Cons

They claim to care for the sickest of the sickest. But what they really mean is they’ll take in drug addicts, prescribe them more drugs to keep them coming and give them gifts to do the same. They make money bringing in as many people as they can. They do not care about your true well being. They only care about how much money they can get from each patient. That’s why they will have them come in more than once a week. I could write a book on how horrible this place is.

Pros

Working as a Patient Navigator at AbsoluteCare in Baltimore is rewarding because of the organization’s mission to improve access to healthcare for vulnerable populations. The work is meaningful and allows staff to directly support patients navigating complex health systems. Team members are generally collaborative, and there are opportunities to work with multidisciplinary teams to address patient needs. There is also room to grow within your role, and employees often have the opportunity to explore or gain exposure to work happening in other departments that align with their interests, which can help broaden skills and professional development.

Cons

At times, communication and feedback from leadership can feel one-sided. Employees regularly receive performance feedback, but there are fewer structured opportunities for staff to share feedback with supervisors or leadership about workflows and support needs. Recognition for the work staff are doing could also be more consistent.
