Pros
Efficiently is a great company to work with. They offer a full-time work-from-home position along with a generous leave policy—15 privilege leaves, 12 casual leaves, and 12 sick leaves. One of the biggest advantages is the opportunity to work directly with some very good architectural firms in the US, which provides excellent exposure and learning. The work–life balance is genuinely very good, especially when compared to many Indian firms I have worked with earlier. The work culture is professional and performance-driven. Of course, like any business, Efficiently depends on client projects. Since the company does not hold projects internally, employees are aligned directly with US clients. If clients are not secured or if performance does not meet expectations, the company may not be able to retain employees long-term. However, if you perform well, you will be aligned with clients and won’t have to worry about layoffs. For professionals coming from traditional Indian office environments with heavy internal management and office politics, the transition may feel challenging at first. Here, the client in the US is essentially the direct manager, and feedback is purely performance-based. The company operates transparently based on client feedback alone. Overall, Efficiently is an excellent place for self-driven professionals who value accountability, clear feedback, and a healthy work–life balance.
Cons
The company uses a tracking software during the 8 working hours for which employees are being paid. Leave requests (other than sick leave) need to be applied at least two weeks in advance, which may require some planning for personal commitments.
