There is better out there
17 Sept 2021 - Account Manager in Dublin, DublinRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Company culture Healthcare for you and your spouse/dependents
Cons
Extensive portfolio, it's impossible to know everything. Targets are generally unattainable. Compensation is not comparable to similar roles out there. Management consistently introduce methods to prevent you from being fairly compensated for arguably the most difficult job in Dell. The role is 65% admin/35% sales. No administration support. Essential applications such as ordering/quoting system have an issue every other week. No work/life balance before covid. This may change when the office is reopened. Moving roles internally takes roughly 12-18 months while simultaneously double jobbing/initiating steps towards the new role and networking. Removed Q2 2020 from the target file as Dell underperformed this qtr. 39% target increase Q3 2021 based on market projections rather than historical spend.

Not a good company - No Ethics, No policy

Permanent WFH policy, can choose your location within the same country (Covid Effect)
Cons
No Work life Balance Not all, but Mostly afternoon shift Work hours more than 10+ hrs per day for sure Job Role - mostly functional or business analyst work, technical guys must check before joining Policies are just on papers Many incompetent managers in few of dept like DAA (Data Analytics & Automation) Firing is very common If manager does not likes you, force you to leave Variable Pay amount cheating (Read the clause carefully in your offer letter) You must be actively employed at time of payment in order to earn and receive the bonus. Usually variable amount comes on March 31 for previous year. e.g. if you being in the org for last whole year and left the org just a day before say 30-Mar, will not get the variable pay. Horrible ! Do not fall in overall CTC track, just rely or bargain on fixed part No employee discount on Dell laptops/desktops/etc... for India employee India employee is at least priority No CSR, Activities for India site, most of program only for US Company treat India for just cheap labors.

No Growth beyond Second Level

Good Work Environment Nice Cafeteria Peers are awesome to work with
Cons
1. No Matter how good of a performer you are but the promotions would be available for those who will be the Hiring Managers Favorite. 2. No Work-Life Balance as the shift and the off change every 4 weeks and the following week you get a split off. 3. You get around 45 leaves in a year but you would not be allowed to avail those. 4. Favoritism in assigning weekly off's. 5. You would not get an opportunity to move up the ladder as the people above you are not moving. If you are looking for a stable job yes, if you are looking for growth, believe me Dell is not a company to work for or with. 6. Only after target achievement doesn't matter if you screw the customer by selling something he won't need. 7. No Annual Bonuses.

Top down leadership style and little to no work - life balance in IT services.
1 Feb 2021 - IT Program Manager in Round Rock, TXRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Larger company provides a bit more job stability.
Cons
- Top down leadership style and little to no work - life balance in IT services. - Exploitation of internationally based resources. Leadership acts as though they are concerned about the hours being worked but in reality, they are not. They are focused on delivering at all costs. - Leadership mostly concerned with making the person above them look good, not focused on representing their team's best interests.
