      Challenging work, but shockingly bad management from top down. No long term strategy, aims to maximise value for sale.

      Pros

      Can gain a lot of experience in the trading systems market. A lot of very good people to learn from and work with (though many have left). There are a lot of career opportunities due to high staff turnover.

      Cons

      Dictatorial management does not promote an open culture. Many people learn to keep their heads down for fear of berating from company head. Director layer of Senior Management generally weak and sycophantic to the boss. Internal feeling of racism. The CEO is an excellent guy, but he is really not running the company.

      Pros

      Normal 8-9 hour workday.

      Cons

      Moral is very low and turnover very high. Sales do not have a real understanding of the product and they make promises the world to clients and expect Product Management and Professional Services to fix it afterwards.

      Pros

      Flexible to leave office anytime because the bosses do not care.

      Cons

      Poor leadership. Bad internal culture with very little cross-sharing of knowledge. Expected to survive on your own with little or no support. The departments simply work in their own domain and dont work together as a team to develop the software. Very abysmal implementation quality. Clients are very dissatisfied with Calypso generally.
