I sent 7 years working here and it is the most horrible organization I have ever worked for
Pros
Shows are sometimes wonderful, free tickets, some coworkers wonderful (though also miserable)
Cons
-HR is a nightmare, committed so many labor violations, currently getting audited for timecards after failing to pay so many employees again and again for two years -literally accidentally fired me through administrative incompetence and didn't notice until a month later, put off meeting with me about it for weeks and then paid me a month late -can't ever get a meeting with HR -Artistic director fired multiple people of color during the black lives matter protests because they spoke up during a meeting about our lack of a statement in support (he "fled apartheid" as a white person...) and HR was pretty open about it, had to have HR in every meeting between himself and another employee after he called them a slur (they finally quit), huge zionist and freaks out if anyone says anything about Gaza, wouldn't look me in the eyes on my last day of working there after 7 years -HR literally drunkenly hit on student employees -"this is a seven day a week job" in reference to my 5 day a week role -admin just an absolute mess -expected overtime, no respect for work-life boundaries -open about no room for upward or lateral movement
