Pros

IT management looks for people with drive and a willingness to learn-- I've seen many people onboarded from personal referrals with little to no experience and all of them have grown into their positions. The people already working there are similarly trusting of employees to make decisions as needed and are supportive. IT department is tight-knit and generally has good judgement, from what I've seen this extends to the top of the company who despite the red-tape that comes from corporate structures, still give room for employees to take initiative.

Cons

Trucking industry means a high focus on reliability and the necessity to be available at all hours if/when something goes wrong. For most people this is a pro, but a lot of IT remains work from home. For me, I find it hard to meet and branch out to people in other departments, where I would have no common work goals but would still enjoy getting to know more about my C.R. England family.

Number 1 LIE, if drivers were actually averaging 31-$39ph @ Casa Grande dedicated then they would not be consistently looking for drivers. I'm at the top of the pay scale & for 2022 my average was only $25.66 (gross compensation divided by total logged hours) & it would be $21.64ph if converted to 40hrs + O/T. LIE #2, they are not the largest refrigerated, PRIME is. Keep in mind bigger never = better. LIE #3, as with any trucking company they only care about meeting their customers needs & the only family they care about is those with a last name of the same company name. Next is this a lie or just witholding the truth? They advertise all the modern technology in their trucks except for the Smart drive System. Why is that? Because it's not actually installed for the drivers benefit. It's to spy on you & claim a "critical event" so they can take your safety bonus. Next is definately a lie, we appreciate our drivers. Well pre covid during driver appreciation week they actually did things for the drivers. Post covid you get a t-shirt or a hat & a video conference telling you they appreciate you over & over & over as if the more they say it the more you are to believe it. I guess words speak louder than action in CR England's world. Just remember words are CHEAPER! I guess gross revenue over a Billion a year is more important.

Very quick higher / Recruiter really push for you to get in training for the CDL Cert. Your medical exam is paid for by company. You bus ticket is paid for by the company. Note: if you are traveling out of state, drive or fly You are reimbursed $100. on airfare. Truck driving instructors are very patient, and you can really learn a lot if you take the time to ask questions.

Cons

Accommodations are good if they have room in the hotels, but the hotels do not give you access to the trucks, if you need to study the parts for your CDL exam. The dorms are not good there is 6 bunks to room, and one rest room. Too many students training at one time. Limited amount of training opportunities for backing and road test practices. Trainers really need to learn professional ethics.

Upper management and human resource department is probably the worst place I’ve ever encountered. They try to retrain you to their ridiculous ways of how to drive. You’re constantly being monitored by cameras and called and harassed on a continuous basis. Again I repeat. Not a place for seasoned professionals or be prepared to bow to their ways or be treated like a red headed stepchild!!

For starters it is a job, you’re dispatchers and account managers generally are great people. They have good looking trucks and try their best to maintain them, local opportunities need to grow, I hate being regional or in a truck, Chad England does seem to care about his drivers and has raised his employees wages , far from enough to cover inflation sadly. I think he is a step in the right direction. I believe in him.

Needs better pay, job is not stable, pay always fluctuates,not enough local positions. Sacrifice you’re life to the job for low pay.
