    Pros

    - Transparent: everyone is caring and open to each other. Whoever you ask for an advice or help, they are always willing to help you. - Flexibel: the company is growing but its still very flexible to make changes if that helps to make someone's work more pleasent. This also gives the opportunity to bring in ideas and get support to act on those ideas. - Autonomy: management is very open and gives to people the... autonomy to find out how they can work best and deliver the best results - Career progress: BloomReach is growning and thus changing a lot. This also provides the opportunity to grow along with organisation. - Travelling: if you like to travel (Sales) this is a great place to be

    Cons

    - Mission/Vision is not clearly defined yet - Onboarding for new employees could be better

    Advice to Management

    - Please work on a mission/vision statement and focus on sharing that at onboarding sessions, SK's or company all-hands events.

The amount of work for a BA is never constant and there are times where there is a lot of work and times where the workload is quite less

    Advice to Management

Great job. You guys made me love the work here. One advice would be to have a more standard onboarding process for the BAs with help from engineers to set up the technical necessities

    Pros

    - AMAZING colleagues. Super fun, super smart, super technical and plain awesome. Glad to say I have made not just colleagues, but friends at Bloomreach. - Catered breakfast and lunch, and a fully stocked cafeteria which ensures you will NEVER be hungry at BR (And also keeps the Cafeteria as the most buzzing place in office) - A very comfortable mixed office plan. Everyone has a cubicle where you can share ideas... and work with your team, but if you want to plug in, then you have a lot of open access rooms where you can work without being disturbed. It's the best of both worlds. Oh, and there's also a couple standing desks for people who prefer them - Very strong focus on ownership. Most components are owned by teams of 2-3 engineers and there is a lot of freedom given to how you want to design/architect systems. Great place to experiment for newbies in the field. - Casual work timings. Irrespective of WFH or timings preferences, you'll never find BR complain. As long as you get stuff done, you can work wherever you want. - Lots of fun events. TGIT (not TGIF because most folks leave early on Fridays :P) events, movie outings, team outings, office cricket, Table Tennis, Foosball, etc. ensure you are never bored.

    Cons

    - Slightly slowed down growth since last couple quarters. - A couple layoffs recently left a bad taste in the mouth. - No fixed strategy for growth within the company. Positions within company are mostly random, and sadly more used as retention tools than to promote innovation/skill. Bloomreach was usually known for no hierarchy, but now we have an introduced hierarchy which is worse than pointless. - Less... resources in R&D over last couple quarters. Can be attributed to maturing as a company, depending on whom you ask. - Huge churn across company because of previous reasons

    Advice to Management

Bloomreach was an awesome place and remains among the best places to work at. Some decisions which seem like teething issues for a growing company have been allowed to fester for too long, leading to the beginnings of a toxic culture. Action needs to be taken to ensure that the churn is reduced ASAP and we start actually start working to ensure the BR culture, which has taken a hit recently, is brought back to the... forefront. BR was an amazing Engg driven company, and we can bring it back to that if there is an all round push for innovation and an increased maturity for business decisions.

I have been working at BloomReach full-time

    Pros

Bloomreach is a company that is solving really hard problems involving large scale and huge amounts of data. The quality of team is top notch. And everyone on the engineering team gets lots of ownership and opportunity. Great people, great problems, and big opportunities make it a great place to have impact. If someone cares about having an impact, Bloomreach is the place.

    Cons

Lot of chaos and churn associated with a company that is going through a transition.

I have been working at BloomReach full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Hippo started as a completely open source software company. And you still feel that every day. There is a really open atmosphere where everyone feels free to come up with ideas and possible improvements. They're not just looking at their own daily work, but everyone is really commited to make the entire company better. That also results in a really flat organisation where also higher management is easily accesible... for everyone in the company. And that results in a great place to work.

    Cons

Hippo grows a lot, and with growth comes change sometimes. Some like that, some don't. One thing is for sure: Never a dull moment.

    Advice to Management

Keep sharing the bigger picture. That's really motivating!

I have been working at BloomReach full-time for more than a year

    Pros

BR is full of intelligent and diligently hard-working folks. The product continues to improve and the team keeps signing high-end clients in target markets. Growth has been steady and the office is full of happy faces. Management team tries to be clear about progress and direction. This is a great place to be. Lots of opportunity for the company and a great shot at a good outcome.

    Cons

Culture and turnover varies heavily across teams (but management seems to care a lot about fixing this problem). Sometimes there can be lack of clarity about strategy for key stakeholders when the executive team decides to change course.

    Advice to Management

Some teams are struggling and creating middle management and intermediary positions may not be the answer. Hiring heavily for roles where there aren't clear growth paths inside or outside the company is going to take a toll as cohorts of these positions hit 1-2 years.
