      Bad management

      Pros

      - The so-called MNC - Called itself a marketing consultancy

      Cons

You can tell by how they change their business names every other years within last five years, I don’t see other PR agencies change name so often because reputation means everything in business. What really needs to be changed is their management team and how they treat employees. Text100 has management issue and treat employees badly, no one really takes the duvet leave. Look at how they treat those that are working and that are leaving from this company - and this is definitely not the place you want to work for.

      The good and the bad

      Sep 7, 2020 - Principal Consultant

      Pros

Small enough to navigate. Good people.

      Cons

Text100 and Bite merged to become Archetype - while it was a merger, it felt like an acquisition and during this transition, majority of Text100 upper manager were let go, created a new brand Archetype but there was no excitement or story behind this and the business model scaled back to the traditional PR agency .

Good for passing time, but always look for something else

      Pros

The work was challenging, but rewarding. Alcohol at team meetings.

      Cons

Everything else. The goal of an internship is always to obtain a job offer, or a great reference. Text100 gave vague to no guidance, rarely incorporated interns into how to succeed and was quite honestly not the best place to start out. There are better, more knowledgeable and worthwhile programs else where. This is more of a last resort.

      Pros

There are employees who are great to work with, though the company in the US has gotten a little smaller in the last year.

      Cons

The culture has shifted slightly due to some client changes, because of that it's not the same as it used to be, however, there are still some great people working for Text100.

If you want to do tech PR, this is the place to be.

      Pros

Agency life is tough, but Text100 is among the best tech/B2B agencies to work at. Mid-size agency with a global presence, giving you a small family feel with the benefit of a larger network and client base. Strong culture (not cutthroat like other agencies). Great benefits with over 4 weeks of vacation (may be unlimited now - not sure) and other perks. Lots of opportunities for growth beyond traditional comms work (creative, dev/tech, social, etc.) Junior and mid-level employees can make an impact in their office and on their teams.

      Cons

Saw this in another review and it hit the nail on the head: "Work-a-holism is supported and often times encouraged." NY office in particular fosters a culture of workaholism with mid-level and senior folks often bragging about the late/weekend hours they put in. This can be true of many agencies, but it's especially aggressive at Text100.

A few bad apples can ruin a good thing

      Pros

For the most part, the people are what make Text100 so great. They're smart, hardworking, creative, and most importantly, they're a fun group to be around. Combine that with a client roster full of some pretty impressive names and a great new office space in the Financial District, and you'd think it'd be the perfect environment for anyone that wants to advance their career at an established agency with a solid reputation. Unfortunately, this isn't necessarily the case...

      Cons

It's a shame that for all the positives there are about working at Text100 overall, a few bad apples can completely change your entire experience. You'll be hit or miss here depending on the team—some are unfortunately led by senior "leaders" with much lower values than others, which has resulted in an incredibly unmotivating and dishonest work environment. If you want to work for someone that has adopted "playing favorites" as the trend, then this is the place for you. You'll watch in awe as a select few get away with completely inappropriate behavior without any repercussions of their actions, while others get berated for walking into a meeting two minutes late after their last meeting ran long. Unless you're willing to roll over and act like senior leadership on this team is king, guess which one of those you'll be...

it can be really challenging and high-pressure at first but I really have no real negatives about working at Text100. I've enjoyed every moment of it and the clientele is so diverse that I'm never bored with my work.
