      Pros

I am absolutely loving my job at ABK. I am trusted to do my work and lead my team.

      Cons

The size of the company makes it difficult to understand all the moving pieces.

      Pros

Working at Activision gives you a chance to work on some of the biggest franchises in gaming. You get to collaborate with talented and passionate people who love what they do. You also get access to some perks like free games and discounts.

      Cons

The work-life balance is very poor. You are expected to work long hours, weekends and holidays without much recognition or compensation. The management is often disorganized and unclear about their expectations and goals. The culture can be toxic and stressful at times.

Some uneven pay ranges at the company

27 Feb 2023 - Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Program Manager

      Business Outlook

      Pros

Company has fantastic people, the games are fun and the culture is still a work in process. For a company that has so many years experience they still operate like a startup with no determined specific process.. Makes every day a journey and experience if you are good at problem solving and pushing for answers you will do great here.

      Cons

There are certain pockets of employees who have embedded themselves so deeply into the organization they control processes and are not open to change or new ideas.

      A company with huge potential

9 Feb 2023 - Human Resources Director in London, England

      Pros

My experience since joining Activision Blizzard has been really positive so far: Over the last year or so Activision Blizzard has hired some incredibly talented people who all have ambitions to make an impact and evolve their areas of focus. It feels like huge progress has been made to improve the culture and implement new HR programs and initiatives to take the business forward. The people who work here are incredibly passionate about what they do and games we create - more than any other business I've worked in before. Being part of a company that makes some of the world's best known games is amazing, sometimes it feels a little surreal - if you're a gamer or even just have an interest in the industry it's a very dynamic and exciting place to learn and grow. Tied to the above you get access to a number of free games each year and discounts on other titles. The business does a great job giving out merchandise/swag to employees too. Benefits in the UK are really good, competitive pension, private medical, personal learning budgets and a good holiday allowance plus an additional week off over Christmas

      Cons

The business is complex and it can be tough to navigate given the matrix nature of the organization and the way the corporate center works with the individual businesses - for some this can be energizing but for others it can be tiring. Tied to the above, things can move slowly due to complexity, however once you learn to navigate the business this becomes easier. Some unknowns right now with the pending Microsoft Acquisition which can cause ambiguity.

      Pros

Culture improvements Most employees genuinely care about their work Growth and learning encouraged

      Cons

Pay is low relative to industry trends Executive leadership are horrible people and make it clear they don’t care about employee concerns Bonus and promotions are based on limited pools, compared across roles. only ultra performing employees get decent raises. Even if you exceeded your job goals you might get less than 3% raise because someone else in your same role in another department was a superstar.
