I worked at Skullcandy full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Skullcandy has a unique environment with many outstanding employees.

Their benefits are great for someone who likes to vacation, unlimited PTO.

    Offices and location are great.

    Cons

Skullcandy has no clear strategy, they have goals.

The culture has deteriorated, mostly toxic in certain departments.

Wages are sub-par, but they would disagree.

No opportunity for mentorship or advancement.

Absolutely zero work-life balance in some departments.

    Zero accountability.

    Zero transparency, even worse communication.

In-fighting and grudge matches (power struggles).

    Advice to Management

Define a clear strategy, then stick to it.

Stop touting your "culture", because you lost it--culture is what you do, not what you say you do.

Put people who actually know what they are doing in leadership roles, not homegrown unqualified people that tow the company line. Then actually listen to those experts.

Hold people, yourselves included, accountable for words and actions.

On wages: you get what you pay for.

    Interview

Very fast and easy. Applied online and a few days later a recruiter reached out to me From there I had two phone interviews and a Skype interview. Was offered the job and moved out roughly 3 weeks later.
