    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Siemens Gamesa in September 2020.

    Interview

After passing an AI video interview in which I answered five questions, I was invited to a telephone interview which was outsourced to Accenture. The recruiter talked about himself for half the interview. After that, before I could say anthing, he decided to tell me he that I was too "technical" for the role, but then could not elaborate concretely on why, despite over ten years of functional expertise and project management experience to my credit. Also, during the discussion he mentioned in passing that he was younger than me, inferring that I was "old". I found that totally unprofessional. Upon reflection, this was not an interview. The recruiter had made his decision beforehand. His views were expressed as generalized biases and were not based on my experience or skills, but solely on my age, disguised as his portrayal of me as someone who was rigid, set in his ways, and a poor "fit".

    Interview Questions

    • The only asked questions he asked me if I was willing to relocate and what my expected salary was. I did not have the opportunity to ask any real questions.   1 Answer
